2 Days 1 Night

Day One

Your journey eastward will take you across the rolling grasslands of the Highveld towards the majestic east Drakensberg Mountains. Drive through the well-known trout fishing towns of Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenberg to begin the climb over the famous Long Tom Pass amongst the finest scenery in the country. From over 2000 metres the road winds down through cool forests of Pine and Eucalyptus trees to the picturesque town of Sabie. Continue onto the old gold mining village Pilgrim’s Rest. After lunch a scenic drive to our rustic safari camp situated adjacent to the Kruger National Park. After checking in and tea, we board open Vehicles. In the company of a african tracker and armed game ranger, you’ll spend the afternoon and early evening game viewing. After dark a spotlight is used to detect nocturnal animals. On our return to the camp the evening dinner is served in the "Boma" Under the stars (weather permitting). Late evening return to our elevated timber and thatch cabins and enjoy the hyena and jackal chorus while you lay in bed.

Day Two

Early coffee and rusks before the excitement begins with a guided walk, camera at the ready, hoping to find Lion and other species, such as Giraffe, Zebra and antelope. We return to our camp for brunch in the shade of a large Boerbean tree. After brunch and some final photos it’s time to leave the park and head for Johannesburg to arrive at approximately 17h00.
